What Is Down Payment Assistance?
Down payment assistance (DPA) is an amount of money given from some form of government — and sometimes other entities — to help assist with down payment requirements.
The amounts vary depending on the program and can be a portion of the down payment or all of the down payment. It may also assist with closing costs.
Below are links to DPA options in states around the country. Individual counties and cities may have additional programs as well.
